Here at Give a Book, we love to encourage reading for pleasure and what better way to do that than by helping to create a reading space at a school. In previous years we have set up book corners and given book gifts to the children; this year, we helped local charity Avondale Extra make a light, airy new Reading Room. The space is now a wonderfully welcoming and comfortable room, with comfy seating and lots of books!
The project was also supported by a visit to the school by artist and author Sally Kindberg who did some wonderful workshops with the kids. Read more about them in her blog.
