We are over the moon to have our final Book of the Month in 2021 from Major Tim Peake.
Tim Peake is a test pilot and astronaut. His memoir, Limitless, was published in 2020 and his first children’s book, Swarm Rising, was published in 2021. In 2015, Tim became the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station and conduct a spacewalk during his six month mission. He also ran the London marathon from space.
The book I would like to recommend is Wind, Sand and Stars by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
It is a beautifully written autobiography of adventure, exploration and courage in the face of adversity. As a young teenager who dreamt of flying, this book inspired me to follow that passion. It’s a wonderful insight into the human spirit and tells a story of what makes life worth living.
