Katherine Rundell: Cosmic

Katherine Rundell, the award-winning author of Rooftoppers, The Wolf Wilder and The Girl Savage, chooses our Book of the Month for June. Her latest book, The Explorer, won the 2017 Costa Children’s Book Award. 

I have read Cosmic by Frank Cottrell Boyce at least four or five times, and I still laugh out loud every time. It’s about a group of children who go into space – and it’s also fathers and their children, and about love, and adventure, and occasionally doing things that were in no way part of the plan. It’s a real joy to read.
