This month we are delighted to have our book of the month chosen for us by Adetomiwa Edun.
Adetomiwa Edun graduated from RADA in 2008 and has since appeared in many notable film, TV and theatre roles. He played the lead in Romeo & Juliet, appeared in Merlin as Sir Elyan and Bates Motel as Marcus Young. He also had a recurring role as Alex Hunter in FIFA 17, 18 and 19. He is currently starring, with Ntombizodwa Ndlovu, in Katori Hall’s The Mountaintop at the Royal Exchange Manchester until 27th October. He plays Martin Luther King in this re-imagining of Dr.King’s last night on earth.
The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho
Walking a path less trodden is always hard, all the more so when it diverges wildly from that of your community—family, culture, peers. Reading the Alchemist reminded me the importance of holding on to my childlike sense of dreaming and adventure, and helped remind me that listening to your heart—whilst sometimes challenging—will always lead you where you’re meant to be.
