We’re thrilled now to be working with Magic Breakfast who provide fuel for learning–they deliver free healthy breakfast foods to UK primary schools with more than 35% free school meals.
Give a Book is joining them to provide books for breakfast for children hungry in all sorts of ways. The first Magic Breakfast Book Club started last summer and has been a great success. More follow and by the end of the year we will have 6 up and running. We provide new books, notebooks and pencils for children who often have none at all at home. We hook up with the local library where possible so that the children coming to the Magic Breakfast Book Clubs have their own library cards too. The children can take MBBC books home, make notes and discover the pleasures of reading in a nutritious environment.
