Magic Breakfast Book Club

In 2013 we started providing books to Magic Breakfast, so that children could have a book with their healthy breakfast.

Every school day, Magic Breakfast provides nutritious breakfast food (bagels, porridge, orange juice and cereals) to around 16,500 children in 430 primary schools. Give a Book is proud to be sending books along with many of them.

The newsletter of Wilberforce Primary School in London said:

The Breakfast Book Club [has] started last week and has been a huge success, with pupils borrowing books on a daily basis.  This project will hopefully enable pupils to have greater access to books and improve their reading skills and love of books.

This is a new pilot that Magic Breakfast Club is running and Wilberforce is one of two schools involved. Pupils now have access to a variety of reading books during breakfast club. We greatly appreciate this kind donation.’

“[MBBC] has been a massive success. The children are excited every morning to read the books and talk about what they have read.”
