UNESCO says that ‘reading for pleasure is the single most important thing that will make a child successful in life’. Liverpool City of Readers is ready to take the benefits of reading far and wide, showcasing the importance of reading across the city and supporting the next generation of readers.
In the park, at the shops, even on the famous ferry – there’s always time for a story, wherever you are! Following the success of Anytime is Storytime in 2015, Liverpool City of Readers will be holding free storytime sessions for families across the city on Wednesday 10 August 12 – 3pm.
After enjoying stories read aloud by trained Story Sharers, families will also get a free book to take away, so storytime can stay for the summer…and beyond.
Join a city-wide, multi-organisational campaign that they want to become a permanent fixture in Liverpool’s calendar.
Our friends at The Reader are hosting another wonderful day in Liverpool on August 10th. ‘Anytime is Storytime’ is pretty much what the name suggests.
Anyone can be a reader – and Anytime is Storytime.
